Types of Motherboards

Name : Aldini Vida Steivia

Class : TBI 5C

Hello everyone, welcome back to my page, as i said in my last writing in this writing i will share to you about types of motherboads. last time we have learn about parts of motherboard an their function, so now we will learn about the kinds of motherboad

1. Motherboard type AT baby / AT

The format that was used in computers that were 386 and 486 when they were originally released. The format was eventually succeeded by the ATX format, which is distinguished from its predecessor by the fact that it improves air circulation and makes it simpler to access various computer components.

2. ATX motherboard type

The Baby-AT format was improved upon to become the ATX format. It is designed to make things simpler all around. This ATX motherboard is equipped with connecting connectors that are intended to make it as simple as possible to plug in various components (for example, the IDE connector located beside the disk.) In addition to this, the components of the motherboard are laid out in parallel in order to provide better heat dissipation.

2.1 Standard ATX : The traditional standard ATX format is 305x244 mm. It includes an AGP connector and 6 PCI

2.2 Micro ATX: Its smaller format (244x244 cm) is one of its main advantages, with a relatively low cost

2.3  Flex ATX is an expansion of the micro ATX standard that gives computer makers more freedom in their product designs. Besides the standard PCI and AGP ports, this one also has a pair of AGP ports.

2.4 Mini ATX: Mini ATX is a compact alternative to the micro ATX format (284x208 mm), and includes AGP and 4 PCI connectors instead of the 3 that come with Micro ATX. It is mainly intended for mini-PC

 3. BTX motherboard type.

Intel's BTX (Balanced Technology Extended) architecture improves component layout by aligning the different Connectors (memory slots, expansion slots) in parallel, in the direction where the air flow. This has positive effects on cooling, noise, and thermal management. There is no difference between the BTX power cable and the ATX power cord.

3.1 Standard BTX: with standard dimensions of 325 x 267 mm.

3.2  Micro BTX: with small dimensions of 264 x 267 mm.

3.3 Pico BTX : with much smaller dimensions 203 x 267 mm

4. Motherboard ITX Type

configuration The ITX (Information Technology Extended) format is a very tiny format that was created for mini-miniatures such as PCs. Via is one of the companies that supports this format.

okay, so thats all the types of motherboard that i can share to you guys.hope my unformation willl useful for us, thank you for coming to my page and read my articles hope you enjoy it. see you guys in my another article bye bye
